OVERVIEW

Yoga, the magical word for fitness today was perhaps born centuries back in India. Derived from the Sanskrit word yuj, Yoga means union of the Soul with Spirit. Yoga is an amalgamaon of religion, philosophy and pracces. It is a physical, mental and spiritual discipline which takes one to the path of moksha (liberaon). The science of Yoga is a way of life for India. A Sadhu means a peaceful or mild one. It is believed in Hinduism, that a sadhu is a holy man whose aim is to achieve moksha (liberaon). There are around 4 to 5 million sadhus in India today and becoming a Sadhu, is the fourth phase of life in a Hindu’s life.
Our Yoga and Sadhu journey is a path of discovery, evoluon, self‐realizaon and aaining enlightenment. It is designed to recharge and rejuvenate your body and mind to make you feel refreshed, peaceful and inspire the Tappas in you!

  • Private prayer ceremony at a local temple and geng blessed by the priest in Varanasi.

ITINERARY

DAY 1 - Arrive Delhi

Assistance on arrival and transfer to the hotel. Overnight at hotel.

DAY 2 - In Delhi

Full day Delhi city tour. Overnight stay at hotel. Visit a Sikh temple to see the mass kitchen, where hundreds of people from any caste, creed, color and religion sit together for a free meal.

DAY 3 - Delhi – Haridwar (by train) – Rishikesh (by drive 30 min/20 kms)

Morning train to Haridwar and drive to Rishikesh. Afternoon: at leisure to explore the colorful local market of the sacred town of Rishikesh. Overnight stay at hotel / Ashram. Optional: Spa or Rejuvenation therapy.

DAY 4 - Rishikesh

Early Morning Yoga Session with Yoga Teacher (for 01 Hour) followed by basic Pranavam (Breathing Therapy). Later visit one of the Ashrams on river’s bank. Aernoon 01 hour meditaon follows by lecture by Yoga teacher where we learn to treat several health disorders. Evening: witness the (Worship) Aar Ceremony at Paramarth Niketan dedicated to Goddess River Ganga. Overnight stay at hotel / Ashram. Optional: White River Rafting

DAY 5 - Rishikesh

Early Morning Yoga Session with Yoga Teacher (for 01 Hour) followed by basic Pranavam (Breathing Therapy and weight loss exercises). Afternoon visit Bharat Temple and Sivananda Ashram. Possible to engage in a discourse on spiritual subject with one of the guru / disciple of the ashram. Overnight stay at hotel / Ashram. Optional: A so trek to visit Neer Garh Water Fall.

DAY 7 - Delhi – Jaipur (by drive 5 hrs/268 kms)

Morning drive to Jaipur. Afternoon explore the old city bazaar by foot. Overnight stay at hotel. Optional: Tea or Dinner with a local family.

DAY 8 - Jaipur

Morning visit Amber Fort with Elephant Ride. Afternoon visit City Palace and Observatory. Overnight stay at hotel. Optional: Meeng with a palmist and get your horoscope made.

DAY 9 - Jaipur – Fatehpur Sikri – Agra (240 Kms / 6 hours by drive)

Morning drive towards Agra enroute vising Fatehpur Sikri. Arrive Agra and transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay at hotel. Optional: Enjoy a dance‐drama show “Mohabbat–e-Taj” at Kalakri Theater.

DAY 10 - Agra – Varanasi (by overnight train)

Early morning sunrise visit to Taj Mahal (close on Friday). Return to the hotel for breakfast. Later visit Agra Fort. Late afternoon transfer to the rail staon to board train to Varanasi. Overnight on board train.

DAY 11 - Arrive Varanasi

Morning arrive Varanasi and transfer to hotel. Afternoon visit Sarnath where Buddha has delivered his first sermon. Later in the evening aend unmissable Aar ceremony at river Ganges. Overnight stay at hotel. Optional :1. A Private prayer ceremony at a local temple and geng blessed by the priest.2. Meeng with Aghori sadhu. The most feared and the most respected clan of sadhus or ascecs of India, the Aghori sadhus are notorious for their uncommon and grisly rituals they perform as a part and parcel of their religious roune, enough to arouse curiosity and awe among the public. Aghori is a peculiar clan of sadhus, devotees of Shiva, who seek moksha from the cycle of reincarnaon.

DAY 12 - Varanasi – Delhi (by flight)

Early Morning: Boat Ride followed by Yoga Session & Meditaon with Yoga teacher on the Ghat of Varanasi. Later return to hotel for breakfast. Afternoon transfer to Airport to board the flight to Delhi

DAY 13 - Delhi – Departure

In me transfer to airport to connect flight to onward desnaon. IMPORTANT : Sarnath Museum closed on Fridays.

NOTE:
Road distance and driving me are indicave and dependent on road / traffic condions. Addional me may be added for tea breaks, toilet stops, en‐route sightseeing etc. Air and train schedule and operaon days are subject to change.
