ITINERARY

DAY 1 - Arrive Delhi

Meet & assist on arrival and transfer to Hotel. Overnight at Hotel.

DAY 2 - Delhi

Today you will visit Old Delhi, drive past the Red Fort, which offers a powerful reminder of the former glories of the Mughal era, and to Raj Ghat, the site of Mahatma Gandhi’s cremaon in 1948 and a memorial to ‘The Father of the Naon’. This will be followed by a visit to Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India and finally the franc Chandni Chowk – famous for spices, inexpensive jewellery, fabrics, electronics and several popular eang joints. Then visit the impressive Qutub Minar. Explore the fieenth century Humayun’s Tomb, A visit to the heart of New Delhi – built by the Brish at the start of the tweneth century – will take in the iconic India Gate, as well as the President’s House and the Parliament Street.

DAY 3 - Delhi - Agra by road ( 204 kms/ 3 hrs Approx.)

Drive to Agra. Visit Agra Fort (UNESCO World Heritage Site) – Construcon of this massive red-sandstone fort, on the bank of the Yamuna River, visit Taj Mahal at sunset, to watch one of the most well preserved and architecturally beauful tombs in the world. Overnight at hotel.

DAY 4 - Agra - Gwalior by road (119 kms / 2 ½ hrs Approx.)

Today you leave for Gwalior, Visit the palaces and temples, including the Sas Bahu Ka Mandir intricately carved Hindu temple. Ancient Gwalior Fort occupies a sandstone plateau overlooking the city and is accessed via a winding road lined with sacred Jain statues. Within the fort’s high walls is the 15th-century Gujari Mahal Palace, now an archaeological museum. Overnight at hotel

DAY 5 - Gwalior - Jhansi (by train) - Jhansi - Khajuraho

Morning transfer to Gwalior railway staon to board train to Jhansi. From Jhansi , you drive to Khajuraho, a quiet village in Madhya Pradesh which is fast metamorphosing into a tourist town. Visit the famous 11th century temples of Khajuraho. The temples were built during the Chandela period, Around the temples are bands of intricately carved stone work detailing Indian life and style a millennium ago. There are also various acts from the famous Kamasutra depicted on these monolithic temples. Overnight at hotel

DAY 6 - Khajuraho - Orchha by road ( 173 kms / 3 ½ hrs Approx)

Drive to Orchha. Aernoon visit Interesng places of Orchha such as Orchha Sanctuary, Sunder Mahal, Chaturbhuj Temple, Raj Mahal and Charis. Evening visit the Ram temple for Aar. Overnight at hotel.

DAY 7 - Orchha – Bhopal by train

Transfer to Jhansi railway staon to board train for Bhopal. It’s one of India’s greenest cies with two main lakes, the Upper Lake and the Lower Lake. On the banks of the Upper Lake is Van Vihar Naonal Park, home to gers, lions and leopards. The State Museum has fossils, painngs and rare Jain sculptures. Visit Taj-ul-Masjid which is one of Asia’s largest mosques, with white domes, minarets and a huge courtyard. Evening enjoy a cup of tea at a lake facing restaurant to enjoy the sunset. Overnight at hotel.

DAY 8 - Bhopal - Indore by road ( 195 kms / 4 hrs Approx.)

Sanchi is a small village situated in the Raisen district of Madhya Pradesh. This village is most famous for its Buddha stupas also called Sanchi Stupa and monuments. The beauty of this village is enhanced by the presence of these beauful pillars, shrines, stupas the existence of which can be found between 3rd and 12th century AD. Later you drive to Indore the commercial capital also known for its architectural splendor. Overnight at hotel.

DAY 9 - Indore – Mandu – Maheshwar by road ( 131 kms / 3 ½ hrs Approx)

Take an excursion to Mandu a fairytale city with amazing architecture and a tribute to the love shared between the poet prince Baz Bahadur and his beauful consort Rani Rupma. Some of these aracons include Jahaz Mahal, Jami Masjid, Hindola Mahal, Baz Bahadur’s Palace, Rewa Kund and many more. All the monuments of Mandu present a unique architecture which gives an magnec aracon to the history and culture. Drive further to Maheshwar today. Overnight at hotel.

DAY 10 - Maheshwar

Maheshwar, a temple town on the bank of River Narmada. A visit to the 16th century fort and is famous for its elegant architecture & spectacular view from Narmada River is now a Heritage hotel .It is located on the bank of river from where one can enjoy best view of river, boang, sunrise and sunset. It was constructed by a great queen Ahalya Bai Holkar as her residenal place, a queen India ever had seen. Evening me to visit the ghats and walk through the narrow lanes . Maheshwar is known for its texles as well, you get some me to visit the Rewa weavers at the Fort complex.

DAY 11 - Maheshwar - Indore by road (95 kms) - Indore to Mumbai by air

Travel to Indore airport to board flight to Mumbai. Arrive Mumbai which is the largest city and undoubtedly the commercial capital of India. Aernoon city tour vising the Gateway of India-built during the period 1924-1927 to commemorate the visit to India of King George V, of England in 1911. Visit the prince of Wales Museum – the Victorian domed structure contains a fine collecon of miniature painngs. Its three secons are on Art, Archaeology and Natural history. Visit the 8-meter Rajabai Clock tower – the gothic style Mumbai University clock tower built in the last century. The Victoria terminus is considered the most beauful edifice in the city. Drive past Nariman point to Malabar Hill which is a winding stretch of road along the sea with tall buildings on one side. Overnight at hotel.

DAY 12 - Leave Mumbai
