ITINERARY

DAY 1 - Arrive Delhi

Upon arrival, you will be met & assisted by our representave and transferred to your hotel. Overnight at hotel

DAY 2 - Delhi – Lucknow (by flight)

Fly to Lucknow Aernoon: City tour of Lucknow vising world’s most unique architecture, ‘Asifi Imambara’ which was built as a relief measure for a devastang famine. The Clock Tower is the highest Clock Tower in Asia. Drive past Sadat Ali Tomb and ‘Chatar Manzil’ – a part of this palace was built by a French architect, Claude Marn (the palace has restricted entry and can be seen from outside only). Also visit the Lucknow Residency, a place where speechless walls are known to speak the gruesome tale of the 1857 muny. Walk through the local market area and see the Chikankari work (special hand embroidery technique). Enjoy a short Tonga ride. Opon to taste and see the preparaon of Tunda Kabab (a specialty of Lucknow). Overnight at hotel

DAY 3 - Lucknow – Varanasi by surface (285 Kms/ 07 Hours approx)

Drive to Varanasi Varanasi is one of the oldest living cies in the world. For every devout Hindu it is a holy place and to make a pilgrimage here, is the highest goal of life. A bath in the holy river Ganges is believed to free one from all sins and helps to achieve a higher rebirth. Evening: Witness the Aar ceremony on banks of river Ganges Overnight at hotel.

DAY 4 - Varanasi

Early morning: Visit the Ghats (banks) of river Ganges to explore the area. Hundreds of people gather early in the morning to pray, meditate and the ritual bath ‐ this impressive spectacle you will see from the boat. Morning visit temples and markets. Aernoon excursion to Sarnath, where Buddha gave his first sermon in the teaching of the “middle path” to Nirvana. Some magnificent stupas and other buildings were built during the rule of Emperor Ashoka. Also visit the Sarnath Museum Overnight at hotel

DAY 5 - Varanasi – Khajuraho (by flight)

Morning free for shopping. Board flight to Khajuraho, famous for its exoc temples. It is India’s unique gi to the world, represenng, as they do, a paean to life, to love, to joy, perfect in execuon and expression. Life, in every form and mood, has been captured in stone, tesfying not only to the crasman’s arstry but also to the extraordinary breadth of vision of the Chandela Rajputs under whose rule the temples were conceived and constructed. DAY 6 - Khajuraho – Orchha – Jhansi

(183 Kilometers / 5 Hours approximately) – Agra (by Train) Drive to Jhansi, enroute visit Orchha, a small town founded in 16th century along the Betwa River. Once the capital of Bundela rulers, Orchha is now a village set among a wonderful complex of wellpreserved palaces and temples which date back to the 16th century. Evening transfer to railway staon to board train to Agra. Overnight at hotel.

DAY 7 - Agra – Jaipur (240 Kms/ 06 Hrs Approx)

Visit the beauful Taj Mahal at sunrise; built by the Moghul Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal, Return to the hotel for breakfast. Later visit the Red Fort. The mighty sandstone walls enclose the beauful white marble. Connue drive to Jaipur with a brief stop at Fatehpur Sikri. Fatehpur Sikri is the Emperor Akbar’s deserted royal city. This impressive and well‐preserved citadel became his capital in 1571. Overnight at hotel.

DAY 8 - Jaipur

Begin your day with an early morning excursion to Amer Fort. Ascend the fort by elephants. Photo stop at Hawa Mahal (Palace of winds) Aernoon: Visit The City Palace situated in Old city and which has now a fine museum containing rare manuscripts, painngs, royal garments and weapons. Visit the observatory of Jai Singh known as the Jantar Mantar. This is an assembly of immense astronomical instruments made of marble and brass set in a pleasant garden with a 30 meter high sundial. Evening : Enjoy a preview of the latest Bollywood movie in opulent theatre Rajmandir Overnight at hotel.

DAY 9 - Jaipur – Delhi (260 Kms / 6 Hrs Approx)

Drive to Delhi Aernoon : Orientaon tour of New Delhi by driving past India Gate, President House & Parliament House. Time perming, visit to Qutub Minar an 11th century victory tower that rises to height of 73 Metres and Humayun’s Tomb, built in the mid – 16th century by Hajji Begum, senior wife of Humayun. Overnight at hotel.

DAY 10 - Depart Delhi

Transfer to airport to board your flight to onward desnaon. Important Taj Mahal, Agra ‐ Closed on Friday Sarnath Museum – closed on Friday
